Homoeopathy

Homoeopathy-for-healthHomoeopathy - also spelt Homeopathy - is a complete, safe, gentle and natural system of medicine which helps the patient’s body and mind heal itself.  It works by stimulating the body’s own healing energies which act on all levels, including the physical, emotional and mental.

Homoeopaths take the holistic view that all of these aspects of the person make up the whole.  Consequently, when the patient’s case history is being taken the patient will be asked many questions, some of which may seem bizarre or irrelevant, but are actually essential in order that the Homoeopath can piece together the whole picture.

As an example, think of headaches - they can vary in location: across the eyes, back of the head, etc. They can vary in type: a dull ache, sharp, throbbing etc. They can also vary by time of day, or day of the week, where you are, what you are doing preceding or during the onset of symptoms. Your homoeopath will ask such questions to narrow down the ailment to a specific set of criteria which will determine the appropriate treatment for you.

Homoeopathic-remedyThe remedies used are predominantly derived from plants, or minerals. It is the way in which they are prepared that gives them their healing potential.

Homoeopathy can be used to treat all kinds of illnesses including grief, stress, PMT, arthritis, migraine, ulcers, heart disease, ME, glandular fever and allergies. Treatment can be for two or three appointments (usually a month or so apart) or for several months depending on the nature of the illness and how long the patient has been ill.

All remedies are included in the fee, and Paul is available on the phone for advice and help between appointments at no extra cost.
